Scope of Project: Conversion from Japanese type Ro-Ro Vessel to a SOLAS Ro-Ro vessel. Preliminary Studies for conversion to a two-compartment Class B Ro-Ro Passenger Vessel according to 98/18/EC Dir-as amended.

Our Engagement: Full Conversion design and calculations: Modifications in garage space (enlargement of fwd garage part, web modifications to increase height in covered garage space), New Life Saving and Fire Safety appliances, Follow-up with RINA Class. Project for conversion to passenger: Feasibility Study, Concept Design and Preliminary Plans and Calculations for Classification to RINA and certification with Hellenic Flag.

We were engaged to transform a Japanese type ro-ro cargo ship to a SOLAS ro-ro cargo vessel. Full Conversion design and calculations were performed. Basic aspects were: Modifications in garage space (enlargement of fwd garage part, web modifications to increase height in covered garage space), New Life Saving and Fire Safety appliances, Follow-up with RINA Class up to certification. We were asked as well to perform preliminary studies transform this Japanese type ro-ro cargo ship to a ro-ro passenger ship according to European Directive 98/18/EC-as amended for B Class ships to trade in Aegean Sea. Feasibility Studies, Concept Design and Preliminary Plans and Calculations were performed for Classification to RINA and certification with Hellenic Flag. The vessel though was never converted to passenger ship.
