Scope of Project: Conversion of a german SOLAS ’74 vessel to a two compartment Class B vessel according to 2009/45/EC Directive and general refit of interior spaces, Compliance with Stockholm Agreement
Our Engagement: Developing of Full Conversion Design – new separate entrance for passengers with new staircase leading directly to saloon, new fixed car platform and ramps, new MES added, interior spaces rearrangement and refurbishing, Class and Flag follow-up for certification follow up.
We were engaged to transform a German built SOLAS ’74 vessel into a modern ship with European and Hellenic requirements and do a general refit for a major passenger ship operator in Central Aegean Sea. The vessel was required to comply with 2009/45/EC Dir. for existing Class B vessels. Major conversion works were: New passenger entrance ramp and new staircase leading to directly to saloon area, New fixed car platform and car ramps P & S in Garage space, Refit of accommodation spaces, new life saving equipment installed. The vessel is the pride of the island of Evia, which serves all around the year.
