Client: Major Cruise Ferries Operator in Andriatic Sea – line Greece - Italy
Scope of Project: Conversion of a Japanese built ferry into a modern SOLAS ship for short international voyages. Total refit - New transom (transformation from quarter ramp to mirror transom) with separate entrances for Main Garage, Upper Garage and Passengers, New Vehicle fixed ramp, New funnel designed, Total reconstruction of accommodation spaces, New Staircases & electrical escalators, New lifeboats/fast rescue boat added. In 2010 new Damage Stability - compliance with Stockholm Agreement for Hs = 2.5m.

We were engaged to transform a Japanese type ferry into a modern SOLAS ship for short international voyages to trade in Adriatic Sea (Greece – Italy). The vessel was totally reconstructed and new fire-fighting and life saving equipment was installed on board as per SOLAS requirements. Major conversion works were: New transom (transformation from quarter ramp to mirror transom) with separate entrances for Main Garage, Upper Garage and Passengers, New Vehicle fixed ramp, New funnel designed and built, Total reconstruction of accommodation spaces, New Staircases & electrical escalators, New life saving equipment (lifeboats/fast rescue boat) added according to SOLAS Requirements. In 2010 new damage stability calculations were executed for compliance with Stockholm Agreement for Hs = 2.5m.
