(2000) Conversion - from Japanese type Ro-Ro pax to SOLAS ’74 Ro-Ro Pax for short international voyages: New car ramps, New Staircases & electrical escalators for passengers entrance, Total refit and rearrangement providing large saloon spaces, restaurant area, duty free shops, casino and passenger cabins, New lifeboats/fast rescue boat added

Our Engagement: Full Conversion Design and Supervision, Follow-up with Class and Flag up to certification.

We were engaged to transform a Japanese built ferry into a modern SOLAS ship for short international voyages in 2000. Major conversion works then were: New car ramps, New Staircases for passengers entrance, Total refit of accommodation spaces with new rearrangement providing large saloon spaces, restaurant area, duty free shops, casino and passenger cabins, New life saving equipment (lifeboats/fast rescue boat) added according to SOLAS Requirements. Then in 2010 our studio was engaged to upgrade the vessel according to the European Dir. 2009/45/EC for existing Class B vessels complying with Stockholm Agreement for Hs = 2.0m.
